TORSTEN LAUSCHMANN
Filter

Since about three years, Torsten Lauschmann has been developing and using software he programmed himself for his audio-visual real-time video performances. For the last Venice Biennale (Scottish participation, i.a. with Simon Starling, David Shrigley, Dave Allen), he developed a system allowing him to sample fragments of television images and sound in real-time and arrange them to a new audio-visual composition. A film is created by spontaneously and intuitively ‹playing› and ‹composing› images and sound in real-time.
