The Werkleitz Gesellschaft awards one Art Grant per year. It is intended for research and development of an artwork focusing on current and important trends within the city of Halle. It is open to all artists regardless of age, place of residence and nationality. From the applications the Arts Board of the Werkleitz Gesellschaft selects one artist who then has the opportunity to work in Halle for one month. The scholarship includes a bursary of 1,000 EUR, contribution to travel costs up to 250 EUR and free lodging for one month. The results of the Art Grant will be presented at events organised by the Werkleitz Gesellschaft.
Apart from the project proposal, the application for an Art Grant should include work samples (photo-series, catalogue, VHS-cassette, CD-Rom and the like) and a CV. Deadline for submitting an application is June 30th, 2006. Please include a stamped envelop, if you would like us to return your materials. Werkleitz Gesellschaft cannot accept any responsibility for work lost or damaged.
